An Interesting Presentation: Contextualising Middle Irish Genealogy - Clans Of Ireland

Post by zackdaugherty »

This morning I watched this recent presentation by Dr Russell Ó Riagáin on Contextualising Middle Irish Genealogy at Clans Of Ireland Forum (3 June 2023).

I have very little familiarity with all the early medieval genealogy resources, so it was educational for me. As I have to a few other Gaelic Surname Scholars, I emailed this presenter to inquire how familiar they are with Y-DNA and the ever-evolving haplotree leveraging Y-SNP data across many of these Gaelic surnames. I'll report back what, if any, reply I get on the matter.

Zack I had posted a comment on one of their previous videos regarding using SNPs but it seems to have disappeared.
