Firstly, welcome! My apologies for the registration hassle.

Yes, YSEQ has the ability to design a custom SNP Panel test. I forget the exact pricing, as it depends on the number of SNPs you want in the panel. However, before going that route, I would contact Astrid Krahn at YSEQ and ask her exactly what SNPs would be tested in the R1b-DF49 SNP Panel test for your R1b-FT47343 branch. That Panel costs US$88, which is around what a custom Panel would cost. It will not be all the SNPs, but typically just one from each node, if any of the SNPs in the node are suitable for Sanger testing. It is not as definitive as testing for all the available SNPs in R1b-FT47844:

4. FT47867
5. FT47969
6. FT48159
7. FT191148
8. FT191149

But it does offer the advantage that if the tested individuals are NOT R1b-FT47844+, but they ARE in one of the other R1b-DF49 branches, they will get a positive result for that branch. Please bear in mind that not every branch is known yet. This is what happened with Dustin Harvey, unfortunately, and he had to do a BigY 700 test after all to find his branch.
