Thanks for passing that long Mark, I'll check it out! Also I meant to get in touch with you a week or so ago. I saw your post on SOA about taking an Irish language course. How are you progressing so far? I've been doing Rosetta Stone and Ling since last September. Ive gotten myself into the intermediate level but definitely need some type of immersion because with no way to use this language in America it escapes my brain faster than I can learn it. Daltai na Gaeilge is having an immersion course for two days in February in upstate NY (I'm in Pennsylvania so it's only a few hours) but theres a big forum on their website with a lot of regional class references and aids, and they may hold these things elsewhere, I'm not sure where you're located. A few helpful hints that I found keep me learning: If you do it when you dont feel like doing it, it becomes a chore, and for me that means i'll end up skipping lessons. So it's good to take some time off. Also: aggressively review. I was enjoying breezing through lessons and thought I was doing well and I ended up forgetting fundamentals, which made me backtrack multiple times. The sentence structure and memorizing all the ways to use the verbal nouns is what really slows me down and stumps me, so I'm constantly going over things again. If you ever get stuck on anything, shoot me a message maybe I can help.

Chris,
I subscribed to Irish with Mollie beginners and intermediate when she had a holiday sale.
https://www.irishwithmollie.com. It is a lifetime subscription so revisiting is forever and learn as you go when you choose. Mollie also has webinars with the last one being just before Christmas. The webinars are live and interactive like a Zoom meeting making them quite personal. You can tell Mollie has her heart in the right place and is available for any personal help where needed. Just as you described, I find myself revisiting lessons because the sentence structures and nouns can leave you wondering at times. My closest metro area is Kansas City which has a good sized Irish population, an Irish Center, an annual Irish Festival very similar to Milwaukee's Irishfest, and locals that give Irish language lessons which are fine if you can attend. Since I subscribed after Thanksgiving, the holiday activities and schedules have made the coursework time sporadic at best. The little I have done so far had me feeling like I can get it. So after the first of the year I will be able to set a block of daily time. Really excited to dig in. Hope you have a wonderful and prosperous New Year! Always appreciate the help you all give!

Wow this sounds like exactly what I need. I'm going to sign up. I just found an Irish center that does classes near my firehouse where I work, but with my rotating schedule, i can't really commit to a set time for anything

Thanks Mark!
