Interesting news from the Univ. of Indiana concerning average age of conception over the last 250,000 years (men 30.7 years on average, mothers, at 23.2 years on average).

Hmmmm. And the beat goes on [thanks, Sonny & Cher]. From a footnote in the 1844 AD edition of John O’Donovan's editing of Dubaltach Mac Fir Bisig's The Genealogies, Tribes, And Customs Of Hy-Fiachrach, p. 101:
One fact, however, must be acknowledged, that it appears from all the authentic Irish pedigrees that more than thirty years, the average standard laid down by [Sir Isaac] Newton, must be allowed to each generation.
Credit where credit is due. Just sayin'...

I'm glad that Newton guy figured things out like gravity, but did he have to solve everything?
And here I thought we were geniuses. :oops:
